The One Nabawi Silver Dirham by 24 Qirats is a fine silver coin minted according to the denomination of the standard weight and purity of the Sasanian Drachma, the silver coins circulating in Makkah and Madinah during the era of Rasulullah (pbuh), which formed the basis of value used in the Nisab of Zakat revealed in 2 Hijrah.

The One Nabawi Silver Dirham, Version 1, was inspired to be the cornerstone of the weights and measures for the Nabawi Silver Dirham collection. It hasone of the Blessed Names of Allah on the Obverse and the Reverse is the unique muqatta’at of Qaf followed by honouring revelation through the Quran.

The Two Nabawi Silver Dirham, Version 1, design was inspired by the promise of help from Allah Almighty if we follow and obey a righteous leader who follows the law as set by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

Minted about the year when the Umayyad Caliph ‘Abd al-Malik bin Marwan ruled from Damascus and did not control the whole of the Hijaz as the rival Caliph, ‘Abd Allah bin al-Zubayr, nephew of ‘Aishah (r.a), ruled over a larger Muslim empire which included Makkah and Madinah after the Ummah became divided with the death of the Umayyad Caliph Marwan bin al-Hakam.

Minted about the year when the rival Caliph, ‘Abd Allah bin al-Zubayr, nephew of ‘Aishah (r.a) and grandson of Caliph Abu Bakar al-Siddiq (r.a), ruled over a larger Muslim empire which included Makkah and Madinah after the Ummah became divided with the death of the Umayyad Caliph Marwan bin al-Hakam.

Minted about the year of the very first Migration (Hijrah) of Muslims from Makkah and toward Abyssinia where the Christian Negus, Ashama ibn Abjar offered protection to the emigrants which included Uthman ibn al-Affan (r.a), the 3rd Caliph of Islam.

Minted about the 2nd year of Hijrah or the year of the Revelation of the pillar of Zakat, the change of Qiblah to Makkah from Jerusalem, the first year of fasting in Ramadan, the first year of payment of Zakat al-Fitr, the first year of solat Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, the year of the Battle of Badr and the year Fatimah bint Rasulillah (r.a) married Ali bin Abi Talib (r.a).

Minted about the year when Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) made an attempted pilgrimage to Makkah which led to the Treaty of Hudaibiyyah, and when he sent official letters to the major rulers of the world including Khusraw II of Sasanian Persia and Heraclius of Byzantine, inviting them and their people to embrace Islam.

The only dirham found thus far that was minted about the year of birth of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) also known as the Year of the Elephant when the Baitullah (House of Allah) or Ka’abah was protected by Ababil birds against the invasion of the Ethiopian ruler of Yemen, ‘Abraha.
